# XTF static font pack / 2026

This pack is the companion for the editable XTF PowerPoint template and the
desktop poster proofs. It contains the exact static instances used to build the
current VI assets:

- `LeagueGothic-Regular.ttf` — display / headlines
- `Montserrat-Regular.ttf` — information / body
- `Montserrat-SemiBold.ttf` — labels / UI emphasis
- `Montserrat-Bold.ttf` — headings / strong labels
- `Merriweather-Regular.ttf` — reading / source notes
- `Merriweather-Bold.ttf` — reading emphasis

## Install before opening PowerPoint

### macOS

1. Unzip this pack.
2. Select the six `.ttf` files and open them with Font Book.
3. Choose **Install Font**. If Font Book reports a duplicate, keep the
   `XTF`-supplied static instance and remove only an older duplicate of the same
   family/weight.
4. Quit and reopen PowerPoint before opening the PPTX.

### Windows

1. Unzip this pack.
2. Select the six `.ttf` files, right-click and choose **Install for all users**
   (or **Install** if administrator installation is unavailable).
3. Quit and reopen PowerPoint before opening the PPTX.

Chinese text uses `Noto Sans SC`; it is not bundled here because its distribution
and licensing must be handled by the recipient. Install the same licensed family
before adding Chinese copy.

## Verification

The PPTX should show these families in its theme and text runs:

The PPTX is an editable Office file, so it does **not** claim embedded font
binaries. The locked PDF proof is the appearance reference when a machine cannot
install the fonts. Do not replace the families with Arial, Calibri, Arial Narrow,
PingFang, or synthetic bold.

Keep the accompanying OFL notices with any redistributed font files.
